Friends, it’s been a momentous year at Hero Nation. 

As the pandemic has waned, we have been able to offer Comic Book Union as students have headed back into classrooms. It’s so exciting to finally see comics back in the hands of the students we serve! We also partnered with Bright Futures to offer Gaming Warriors in Ypsilanti Community Schools classrooms during the spring semester. We’re busy getting back into the swing of the programming the pandemic put on hold, and it feels great. As we look ahead, the return of the Hero Nation Comic Con is on the horizon.

Our Con leadership team has been busy vetting locations around Ypsi, and we can’t wait to be able to share with everyone the big ideas they’re working on. But if you know our executive director, Jay, then you know that we’re cooking up something big, bold, and definitely heroic!

To put together the kind of inclusive, hero-building programming we know our community wants, we need your help. This Giving Tuesday we’re launching our Leaders Match Campaign!

Our leadership circle – made up of current and former board members – have together committed $500 to help our all-volunteer crew start 2023 strong. Leading by example and building the future you know is possible is part of our ethos here. Our leadership is stepping up to the plate and challenging you to build that future with us!
